Pacquiao a better hero than Rizal?

The answer is obvious: NO. Manny, a great boxer, is not a better hero than Jose Rizal.

For one thing, Rizal is educated--he's a graduate of the Ateneo and a physician--he's an eye doctor. He also died for the Philippines.

Knocking back a few opponents in the boxing ring is great and everything but it isn't anywhere remotely close to writing Noli Me Tangere and exposing the evils of Spanish colonialism.

well, i totally disagree...
im not saying that MANNY is much greater than rizal...
what im saying is, manny can be a good hero for NOW..

rizal had his days...and im proud of him... i will call him my national hero...
and i can say that manny CAN be called as a hero as well...
its really hard to freeze the traffic... its hard to group a crowd...a very large crowd in the whole country just to watch the said event...
and yes... they are laughing, mingling with one another regardless of their status in life...
now tell me... can an ordinary person do that?... NO!!!

he may not be the greatest hero... but he can be a hero for someone...
and that sum1 myt just be ur neighbor..
